The Co-operators therapist-guided, internet-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

In January 2019, you and your dependents can access therapist-guided, internet-based Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (iCBT) through your extended health care plan
if you are currently covered for psychologists/ social
workers coverage.

To access the program, simply visit the Benefits Now®
for Plan Members site and access the iCBT link (only visible to plans with current psychologist/social worker coverage) in the Coverage Summary section.
iCBT gives you and your dependents easy online access
to therapy from any mobile device or computer, allowing you to conveniently incorporate it into your daily life
and schedule.

What is iCBT?
iCBT is internet-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Through iCBT people learn how their thoughts, beliefs and attitude can impact their mood and behaviour. Through interactive modules, you can find alternate ways to look at problems and deal with issues. iCBT programs begin with screening for depression, anxiety, substance abuse, mania, sleep and other mental health concerns. iCBT has also been used to help build self-esteem
and boost confidence.

How does it work?
> To start, your extended health care coverage
must include psychologist/social worker coverage
(Paramedical Practitioner). If available, the iCBT
link will be displayed.
> Access the iCBT link on Benefits Now® for Plan Members where you’ll be guided through 10 modules and exercises by a professional therapist.
> The total cost for the initial assessment and modules
is $400, payable by credit card.
> You can submit expenses through e-claims or by
paper claim.
