Chiara Affrunti, HR Director, National Logistics ServicesChiara is a strategic HR Executive who translates business vision into HR initiatives that improve performance and employee engagement while reducing business cost. Coupled with over 10 years of HR experience and great exposure to benefit administration. Would welcome the opportunity to sit on the Beneplan Board of Directors and contribute to the on-going success of the co-operative.Chiara is always looking to ensure that NLS is constantly keeping that strong balance between employee benefit coverage and employer cost. Chiara would enjoy volunteering her time and expertise with the Co-operative as a Board Member.George Zeni, Vice President, Clover Tool Manufacturing and Ultramet IndustriesGeorge is a past Board Member at Beneplan and would like to bring diversity and manufacturing representation to the Board. He is a past President and Board Member of Vaughan Chamber of Commerce and is passionate about group benefits and ideas to bring costs down and ultimately better benefits for everyone.George C. DiPede, President, North Rock GroupGeorge C. DiPede is the President and co-owner of North Rock Group Ltd., a full service infrastructure contractor, serving southern Ontario for the past 25 years. North Rock employees over 60 staff and revenues of $25 million per year. Over the years, George has been involved in several non-profit organizations. Currently George is the Co-Chair of the Mackenzie Health Foundation Emerging Leaders council, part of the new $1 billion Vaughan Smart Hospital. George is the former President and current board member of the Greater Toronto Sewer and Watermain Association. This organization represents over 100 contractors in the GTA and he has served for over 15 years on the board.George has served for 8 years and is a current board member of Giant Steps Toronto, a school for children with Autism.In regards to Beneplan, North Rock has been a client for over 20 years and a member of the co-operative since its inception. George's vast experience as a sitting member on various boards and his intimate desire to see the Beneplan Co-operative succeed make him a prime candidate for the board. His knowledge of board budgets, finances and ensuring that the organization's mandates are met, will make him a valued addition to the co-operative board. George’s fellow board members have commented “George is innovative, caring, generous and extremely motivated about helping others”. Giving back to the community in an active and productive manner has been a cornerstone of George's business and personal success.
