Mental Health

With April being stress awareness month, it is important to focus on why mental health should be a key consideration in today’s workplace. In discussion with, Joel Gomes (Sr. HR Manager) and Sufyan Shaikh (Digital Marketing Manager).

HR ToolKit

Beneplan is pleased to introduce the Beneplan HR Toolkit, which is an extra assistance program (XAP) including the following embedded features for all members:

  • Access to an HR Advisor for business owners and HR leaders
  • Access to a Shepell Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP)
  • Access to the Personalized Prescription Plan (P3).

Effective July 1st, 2017, all new Beneplan member groups will have access to these items at no additional cost. All existing Beneplan groups will receive enhancements to their plan at their next renewal date.

Genetic testing from Personalized Prescribing Inc

Personalized Prescribing is a new employee benefit designed to help reduce drug waste and keep employees healthy and productive. It provides employees with affordable pharmacogenetic testing that can help their doctor find the right dose of the right drug, the first time. P3 provides a pharmacogenetic (drug-gene interaction) report with recommendations that have been clinically validated by at least one of the two leading consortiums:

Dutch Pharmacogenetics Working Group (DPWG)

All testing is conducted at a state-of-the-art genetic laboratory that operates under the current Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) guidelines set by Health Canada. P3 specialize in the fields of mental health and chronic pain, where current practice is based on trial and error. The ground-breaking approach is revolutionizing therapy by allowing P3 to use technology to predict patient response to treatment and prevent side-effects.
